Upcoming Book – Shadow Magic!

I’m excited to announce a new book, ‘Shadow Magic’! I’ve been working on it for the last few years, and now it’s ready! I’m aiming to get it out early next year.

Asmara is one of the most powerful mages in the world. Or, she would be if she could use her magic. She is a shadow mage, a wielder of rare and unusual magic, with the power to peer into the souls of others, to change them, to destroy them. And yet to use it comes at a high price, as shadow mages who use their power rarely make it past their second decade. On the plus side, it means she can charge a high price for her services as a mercenary.

After resisting her magic for twenty years, war breaks out between Mance-Jolune and the neighbouring land of Lakasha. Tension between the two lands is nothing new, but this time, something is different. The Lakashan’s somehow have trained shadow mages, and are using shadow magic in war for the first time. Asmara is suddenly of great interest to the King and all his spies, and refusing to use her deadly magic is no longer an option.

A friend did the map for me, based on a scruffy draft I drew. I think the result is pretty awesome:

If you’re interested in getting a map made, send me a message and I’ll pass it on.

Stay tuned for updates!

So I’ll be moving to updating once a month. I’m writing and doing my PhD at the moment, so I’m not reading as much as I normally do. Once I’ve finished the draft of the new story, I’ll probably go back to once every 2 weeks.

So my husband and I returned from our honeymoon last week (it was wonderful!). I’m hoping to start updating every 2 weeks again!

Break until March

So I haven’t been very good at updating this month, and I’m not going to be updating for February either. I’m getting married and going on my honeymoon (yay!), so I’ll be away until March.

I’m hoping to get back into updating regularly once I get back.

Thanks everyone for reading,

Print versions of ‘The Lord of the Plains’ and ‘The Broken Kingdom’ are now available from Amazon!

As I’ll be starting a PhD next week, I’m going to start updating on Sunday instead of Monday. I’m hoping I’ll be able to continue updating every two weeks.

Also, I’m currently organizing print versions of ‘The Mixed’. They should be available on Amazon within a month.

‘Mixed Duology’ Now Free on Amazon!

So Amazon has price matched ‘The Lord of the Plains’ and ‘The Broken Kingdom’ to Smashwords, and they are now both free! I had to contact Amazon a few times about it, but they were quite helpful and so both books should be free on all Amazon sites.

‘The Lord of the Plains’ will remain free, while the sequel, ‘The Broken Kingdom’ will remain free for one more week (1/9/14), and will then cost $2.99.
